The Monarch

The Monarch is a mixed use building comprised of 169 luxury condominiums, street level retail space and 2 floors of underground parking. The living space encompasses an area of approximately 211,000 square feet while the parking and retail comprise another 30,000 square feet. The project consists of four building surrounding a central courtyard area as well as "green roof" terrace areas at the penthouse level. The Monarch uses a CIP structural system up to the 2nd floor, while the residential towers utilize the Infinity system. Standing six stories high and located in Old Town Alexandria the project covers an entire city block and is the centerpiece of the neighborhood in which it is located. The project was designed to blend in with local architecture (brick façade, standing seam metal roof, etc.)
